Guardian ™ Link 3
The Guardian™ Link 3 transmitter is part of Medtronic's CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system. Connects to the Guardian Sensor 3 glucose sensor and transmits glucose data wirelessly to the MiniMed™ 780G insulin pump. The Guardian™ Sensor 3 sensor measures glucose levels 288 times a day, every 5 minutes, and automatically sends this information to your pump or smartphone application to see where your glucose levels are and their voltage.Proven benefits
The advantages of Continuous Glucose-CGM Monitoring over conventional finger measurements and HbA1c testing are well documented. Studies have shown that:
• CGM detects 4 times more deviations of glucose values than normal compared to the conventional self-monitoring method with finger measurements (SMBG)
• CGM can significantly reduce HbA1c and has been shown to reduce HbA1c levels by up to 1% compared to the exclusive self-monitoring method with finger measurements.
• CGM has been shown in many published studies to be an accurate method that enables you to tailor treatment based on reliable data.
The Guardian™ Link 3 transmitter is only compatible with the MiniMed™ 780G insulin pump, or as a single Guardian™ Connect continuous glucose monitoring system.
Guardian Sensor 3
You will need to apply a small glucose sensor under your skin and change it every 7 days. The sensor is easily inserted using an automatic device supplied with the system and connected to the Guardian™ Link 3 transmitter that wirelessly sends the glucose sensor data to your insulin pump via advanced wireless radio frequency technology. Your insulin pump will constantly display the glucose data on the screen and in addition a data graph will be formed, so that you can see exactly your voltage and what is affected by it.The Guardian Sensor 3 glucose sensor is only compatible with the Guardian™ Link 3 transmitter.
