The Guardian ™ Link 3 transmitter is part of Medtronic’s CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system. Connects to the Guardian Sensor 3 glucose sensor and transmits glucose data wirelessly to the MiniMed ™ 780G insulin pump. The Guardian ™ Sensor 3 sensor measures glucose levels 288 times a day, every 5 minutes, and automatically sends this information to your pump or smartphone application to see where your glucose levels are
Proven benefits
The advantages of Continuous Glucose-CGM Monitoring over conventional finger measurements and HbA1c testing are well documented. Studies have shown that:
• CGM detects 4 times more deviations of glucose values than normal compared to the conventional self-monitoring method with finger measurements (SMBG)
CGM can significantly reduce HbA1c and has been shown to reduce HbA1c levels by up to 1% compared to the exclusive self-monitoring method with finger measurements.
